Security Safe shopping at SofieB.com Our site uses the safest form of secure shopping as all payments are routed through Secure Trading, who are a world leader in safe transactions over the internet. Secure Trading use levels of encryption that are stronger than any currently offered by any other Online Payment Provider. Secure Trading is approved by the following banks: Natwest, Royal Bank of Scotland, American Express, Bank of Scotland, Barclays, HSBC, Lloyds TSB.
Encryption Details All communication within the system is strongly encrypted using 2048-bit RSA encryption with variable 168-bit session keys (i.e. each transaction uses a new key). This is significantly (many billions of times) more secure than standard browser SSL security provided by, e.g. Internet Explorer. Secure Trading encryption is also much more secure than that specified for the SET (Secure Electronic Transaction) protocol. The high level of encryption used is forecast as not being a requirement until the year 2015.
